Our Story

Our First Store in 2010

From Workshop to Wonderland

xunrovarbrphonux began in 2010 as a small family workshop in Auckland's Penrose district. Founded by Emma and James Thomson, experienced crafters with a passion for quality materials, our journey started with a simple mission: to provide fellow creators with supplies that inspire and delight.

What began as a modest collection of yarns and fabrics has grown into New Zealand's premier destination for handcraft enthusiasts. Over the years, we've expanded our range to include premium art supplies, specialized tools, and unique materials sourced from both local artisans and ethical international suppliers.

Today, our Penrose location serves as both our flagship store and creative hub, hosting workshops, community events, and serving crafters from across the country through our online store.

Our Values

Commitment to Quality

We personally test every product in our collection, ensuring that only the finest materials make it to our shelves. We believe that quality supplies are the foundation of exceptional creative work.

Sustainability

We prioritize environmentally responsible materials and packaging. From organic fibers to recycled paper products, we're committed to reducing our environmental footprint and supporting ethical production.

Community

We believe in the power of creating together. Through workshops, events, and our online community, we foster connections between crafters, sharing knowledge and inspiration across New Zealand.
